The architect was born in 1963 in Carcassone; he now lives and works in Paris.

He founded in 2001 the PCA agency (Philippe Chiambaretta Architecte). PCA is a pluridisciplinary team of engineers, architects and designers that aims at broadening the scope of the image of the architect as a simple professional designer.
The PCA agency is deeply interested in the process of creation and its exploratory, urban and architectural dimensions.

In the light of a technical, scientific, and economic analysis, Philippe Chiambaretta explores the different contemporary artistic practices, and questions the traditional approaches and models of the art of building in a global economic and cultural context.
